  Visit your local Town Hall and Town Manager’s office for information on municipal advisory boards, coalitions and/or partnerships; they will also have information on preparation, promotions, programs, policies and physical projects within the municipality (especially the Parks & Recreation Department and Planning/Transportation Department).

  Find information on top employers.
• Chamber of Commerce
  Visit for information on the largest public and private employers and other physical activity, healthy eating and tobacco prevention worksite initiatives in the community.

• NC School Boards Association
  The chairperson or other board member can help with answers concerning preparation, promotions, programs, policies and physical projects within local schools.
• NC Public Schools
  Contact school leaders and find information on school or system-wide physical activity policies.
• Healthful Living Coordinator
  This person is employed by your local county school system, and can answer questions regarding schools in your municipality.

  Get links to professional associations, information, policy, research organizations, nutrition programs and local contact people. Search for nutrition resources using their Good Health Directory.
• Healthy Carolinians
  See what local preparation, promotions, programs, policies and physical projects are in effect or in progress, in partnership with your local health department.
• YMCA and/or other youth leagues.

  View the list of restaurants and schools that participate in this statewide healthy food initiative.

• Search for tobacco cessation efforts by county in NC Prevention Partners’ NC Good Health Directory.
• Search for NC smoking cessation programs by organization and by county.
• The NC Smoke Free Dining Guide, found on the Working Smoke Free Web site, is a directory of all smoke-free restaurants in North Carolina.
